About Me

While going thru a difficult infertility journey, I turned to writing as a positive and creative focus/outlet. As a child, I had several pen pals of my own and found so much joy in reading, writing and receiving letters  (especially from my pen pal Rie who lived in Europe) that I was inspired to bring this story to light.  

In a world full of technology, I hope this book inspires people to write more letters and send more mail. I also hope to inspire a curiosity about travel and learning about Europe & other countries outside of the US. Special thanks to my Mom, Julie Mann, my Uncle Gary Livacari for editing help and Maria Serrano for her lovely illustrations. And to my parents Frank & Julie who have instilled in me a love of learning and a confidence/faith to persevere in hard times and follow my dreams, thank you. 

A portion of any proceeds of this book will go to charities that benefit children in need.
